Glenn Stallons Challenge

Glenn Stallons was born 9/30/1940 and passed away 7/15/2000.
Although Mr. Stallons was not physically able to participate in Mission projects, he wanted to help others "go and tell the world about the Good News of Jesus our Lord and Savior."
He enjoyed the "challenge" of collecting aluminum cans and was always proud of the money he could give to the church for missions.
Mr. Stallons was born with a clubfoot. At the age of two, he and his mother made many trips by train to the Kosair Crippled Children's Hospital in Louisville. After numerous surgeries, he was able to walk with a special shoe and brace and wore a leg brace until he was 13 years old. He was always grateful to the Kosair doctors and nurses who, with God's guidance, made it possible for him to walk with only a slight limp.
He graduated high school in 1961 and worked in the kitchen at Western State Hospital for many years. He took medical retirement in the mid 70's after suffering seizures and being diagnosed with epilepsy. In spite of his handicaps, Glenn Stallons always had a smile and a humble willingness to serve the Lord. He loved his church and he loved people.
The Glenn Stallons Challenge will support the following missions:
Uttermost-Scholarships for church members to go on an overseas Mission Trip, Gideon's International, Love Packages (which pays to ship Christian literature worldwide.)
Samaria - To finance a church mission trip in the continental U.S., and Disaster Relief Operations.
Judea - Oneida School, Eliza Broadus State Missions Offering, and the Sunrise Children's Services.
Jerusalem -Alpha Alternative Pregnancy Center and providing Associational Support for Little River Baptist Association.
Lottie Moon and Annie Armstrong offerings are separate.
