Pointing People to the Freedom Found in Jesus

Awana

The Awana Club of Liberty Point Baptist Church is one of 15,000 clubs in churches in the world.  There are 110 countries around the globe with Awana clubs and there are Awana clubs in all 50 states, with over 300 in the state of Kentucky. You can learn more at www.awana.org.

The acronym Awana comes from the first letters of the phrase " Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed". (2 Timothy 2:15)

Our Awana club will meet every Wednesday night from 6:00-7:30 pm during the school year.  We follow the Trigg County School System calendar.  When school is out, clubs do not meet.  Our clubs are for age 3 through grade 5.

There will be a sign-in table for all Clubbers in the Family Life Center each week between 5:45 and 6:00 pm.    Parents should stay with their child until after they have signed in.  We cannot be responsible for your child until our leaders arrive.  We begin our flag ceremony at 6:00 pm.  Each club will have mealtime, game time, council time, and handbook time.  Club will dismiss promptly at 7:30 pm.  Parents are asked to come into the Family Life Center to pick up your child.  This is for the children's safety and protection.  We will have a bus route each week in the city limits only.

Clubbers can earn rewards each week called Awana bucks.  These can be used during our Christmas store in December and the carnival in May.  Awana bucks are issued for each of the following:  reciting the week's verses to their leader, wearing their uniform, bringing their Bible and handbook, giving an offering, exceptional behavior, bringing a first time guest, etc.  There will also be special theme nights that will be announced.  If Clubbers participate in these, they earn Awana bucks.

Look for letters coming home or check this website for any announcements.
If you have any questions, please contact our church office at 270-522-3958.  We look forward to having you join us for an awesome year!!
